The main cause of stomach cancer is not yet found as the main risk factors include smoking, inflammation, obesity, Helicobacter Pylori infection, poor diet, history of cancer in the family and lack of physical activity.

  • Targeted therapies: Chemo drugs target the cells that split rapidly due to which they work against the cancer cells. Besides this, there are certain aspects of cancer cells, which prove them dissimilar from normal cells. Due to this, targeted drugs are developed to apply during the treatment and tender fewer side effects when compared to the standard chemo drugs.
  • Radiation Therapy: In this treatment, there is the use of ionizing X-rays to shrink the tumor and kill the cancerous tissues. More interestingly, this treatment is used with chemotherapy or with surgery or sometimes together. This therapy is used to reduce the symptoms and save the other organs from getting involved with the cancer cells.
